H. Salt used to be a very popular chain. But as the healthy crazed started any restaurant with fried foods were slowly losing business. But there are still a few H. Salt restaurants around.
Now I personally like this place. The food is always cooked to order. They food is good, not great or mind blowing. But good quality food at good prices. I could care less if it's authentic.
Pictured is the Double catch combo, which includes one piece of fish, three shrimp, two pieces of zucchini and fries for $5.61. The fish is nice and crispy on the outside, much better crunch than the fish from the Old Shippe and very hot and flakey on the inside. The shrimp is shaped like an O and has a very nice crunch.
The fries and zuchhini are run of the mill.
H. Salt is a very good value. Good food at good prices. Most chains you won't notice a different in quality but H. Salt is a little different. At some locations the food and service isn't that good. The Chino Hills location is one of the best locations.
