Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles- Pasadena
Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles
830 Lake Ave.
Pasadena
626-791-4890
An interesting combination of chicken and waffles has been the feature of Roscoe's since they opened. I went to their Pasadena location to give it a try. When coming north on Lake, it's easy to miss the Roscoe's sign since a tree blocks your view. But if you're going north Roscoe's is on your right side and next to KFC.
I ordered the Carol C. Special for $7.10. The special has one breast and 1 waffle. The food arrived quickly but the waffles and chicken were tepid. The chicken breast was dry and wasn't crunchy or flavorful. The waffles are about a step up from the Eggo waffles. They weren't crispy and really nothing special about them.
Though I wouldn't go back, Roscoe's is a place that everybody should try at least once but I don't think people need to rush to try it.
